Before Yo Gabba Gabba Live:
“Daddy, we’re going to Yo Gabba Gabba Live!”
“That’s right. Who are we going to see?”
“Foofa! And Muno!”
“Brobee!”
“DJ Lance!”
“YO GABBA GABBA LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
During Yo Gabba Gabba Live:
After Yo Gabba Gabba Live:
“I wanna see Yo Gabba Gabba Live again!”
“Yeah! YO GABBA GABBA LIVE!!!!!!!!”
That’s great. I remember when I took our littlest one to see Sesame Street Live. He went nuts — both times. Now he’s too mature to find enjoyment with such shows, but he was screaming and waving his arms. “Elmo!” Great times. Enjoy them while you get them. 🙂
Yeah, even if the kids were terrified, it was pretty magical… and their memories of it are good, so I’m sure we’ll go back next year.
Yo Gabba Gabba was just making it’s way onto the scene when my last two were little, but we did The Wiggles every time they hit the US for 4 years running (the last was when Greg’s replacement took over) .. my girls LOVED IT!
I realized how much I missed those cozy kiddie concerts when my middle daughter and her friend dragged me to Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers Best of Both Worlds – ugh!
Yeah, I’m sure we’ll go back to YGG Live next year, and my kids will be a little more prepared for it. By the time they’re teens, Hannah and the JoBros will be long gone/no longer cool, but some other awful tween poppers will have taken their place.
Ha! We took our son to his first concert back in March- The Imagination Movers! He was SOOOOOOO excited! We were front row, center! The lights dimmed, the music began, Mover Rich ran out and tried to give him a high-five! So exciting! Except dear son was screaming and crying in terror. Ooops.
Fortunately, his fear only lasted a few minutes…
You and the Imagination Movers! I hope they’re paying you by the mention. 😉
They really should. You hear that, MOVERS??
ROTFL!!! This reminds me of when my then-boyf/now-husband went to see The Lion King musical back in the day. If you’ve seen it, you know it’s a pretty elaborate and amazing production. As we were filing out of the theatre after the show, we were caught in the crush right behind a five-year-old and his dad. As everyone else in the crowd was raving about how awesome the show was, this little guy looks straight up at his dad and says, “I have too much earwax in my ear.”
Ha, very funny! Guess I’ll wait a few years before I spend $100+ on Lion King tix for my kids.
Fantastic! 😀 This short post was a great start to this day! Made me smile, made my day. And those pictures…so cute. Safe in daddy’s arms 🙂
Thanks. I have to admit, any time they want to curl up in my arms and rest, I’m a happy daddy.
Just wanted to say, “I LOVE YOUR BLOG!” My blog was given a sort of “Awesome Blog” award, and part of receiving the award is to grant some of my favorite blogs with the same award. I tagged you in my most recent post…feel free to participate and snag the neat little badge for your blog!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
Our twins used to be paralyzed to the point of being unable to speak, every time we took them to a live action show. We’d always think they hated it, and then get the same RAVE reaction you got, after we arrived home. Go figure. It’s just another way they mess with our heads!
To jump ahead — congrats on getting ready for the big move. The twins will have people on both coasts loving them and keeping them in their hearts — that’s wonderful!!!
To jump back (a bit), wanted to tell you that I just had to list your blog as one of my favorites, and gave you a blog award (http://wp.me/p1Up52-6D). Love your writing and wanted to introduce my readers (albeit few at the moment) to your blog!
Thanks and thanks! I really appreciate the plug, and I’ll have to check out the other blogs on your list!
Ha! It’s kind of hilarious, isn’t it? One of the many reasons I love kids.
